It's the twentieth anniversary of the release of Fall Out Boy's "Take This To Your Grave." We have just put a very special Limited Edition package into production and can't wait to get it into your (and our!) hands. Look for it in mid-December!
Now reporting for jury duty at the @ClioAwards! I'm proud to announce that I am on the #ClioMusic Design jury. Show us your most creative work: https://clios.com/mus
I will be speaking at the Making Vinyl Conference on June 8th in Minneapolis. Come see me and Chris Kornmann from Spit + Image talk about music packaging and the joy of designing for a 12" x 12" canvas instead of a one inch square.
Aimee Mann, Ted Leo and I gave the closing keynote presentation at ICON 11: The Illustrator's Conference in Kansas City, Missouri on July 2nd, 2022. 4 years in the making, we had a lot of stops, starts, ons and offs but it was worth the wait. We discussed The Art of Process and how an idea becomes an illustration that becomes an album cover. I love the ICON conference and hope to be invited back wherever they hold it in 2024.
Here's some news! I was recently interviewed by the talented illustrator and academic, Jo Davies. She is the co-author, with Derek Brazell, of many books about illustration. This new book will be about ways in which illustrators can find work and will be aptly titled "Getting Clients."
Jonathan Coulton's "Some Guys" LP package is  in the 2019 Communication Arts Design Annual
